FAQ’s
My pregnancy was unplanned- how can I possibly become a parent?
It’s normal to feel as though the occasion is more overwhelming than anything else. The question of what to do and the seeming impossibility of being able to raise a child often leads people toward abortion as a solution.
Some will imply that if you have a baby when you’re not ready, you’ll be stuck forever. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Ava is here to help and offer care when you need it most. We’ve done this for over 30 years and have helped thousands of women! We’ll help you find the resources you need to find a way forward not only into being a parent, but into taking care of yourself as well.

I worked so hard to get here, I can’t be pregnant now. What do I do?
Here are some things we recommend to get started:
- Make an appointment to confirm your potential pregnancy with our licensed nurses if you are unsure. You can get free testing at one of our clinics or consult your doctor.
- If your test reads positive and you are eligible, you may be able to receive an ultrasound to see how far along you are. This can inform you of your current options with your potential pregnancy. You may need to come back for a second appointment if you are not eligible for an ultrasound at your first appointment.
- One of our trained medical staff can talk with you about your current options, including parenting, adoption, and abortion. We would love to give you a full picture of what each of these looks like, so you can make the informed decision you need to during this time.
- We would love to offer support in as many ways as we can. At Ava Health, we believe in layered care. This means caring for you holistically- both physically and emotionally.
