What is prenatal care?
Prenatal care is the health care you get while you are pregnant. Take care of yourself and your pregnancy by enrolling in prenatal care as soon as you know you’re pregnant, getting regular checkups by your doctor over the course of your pregnancy, and following your doctor’s advice. Prenatal care can help keep you and the pregnancy healthy. Once you enroll in prenatal care with an obstetrician (a doctor who specializes in caring for pregnant women) he/she is responsible for all of your medical care relating to you and your pregnancy.
Ava Health encourages all women who are planning to carry their pregnancy to enroll in prenatal care as soon as they know they are pregnant.
Does Ava offer prenatal care?
Ava Health does not offer prenatal care services since we are a screening clinic.
Can I get an ultrasound even if i've already gotten prenatal care?
Since we are a screening clinic, we cannot offer services to those already under the care of another provider, including virtual visits.
